
Caroline Fischer was born in 1984 in Berlin. She received her first piano lessons when she was three years old. At the age of nine, she enrolled at the Julius Stern Institute for very gifted students at the University of Arts Berlin as a young student. At the early age of 16, she began her studies at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin. 2004 - 2007 she studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim with Prof. Paul Dan and Prof. Georg Sava. At the age of 21, she passed her final examinations (diplomas: artisitic studies and music teacher) with outstanding achievement. Caroline passed her concert exam (soloist training/masterclass exam) with outstanding achievement in June 2007. Since September 2007 she studies soloist training at the Music Conservatory Geneva with Prof. Pascal Devoyon.
Caroline Fischer has won first prizes, gold medals and public prizes in national and international competitions on many occasions, inter alia in the federal competition “Jugend musiziert”, in the International Steinway Piano Competition Berlin, in the International Queen Sophie Charlotte Competition, in the International Competition for Young People Berlin, the KlassikRadio prize competition and in international piano competitions in the Czech Republic and in Munich. She was awarded with the Classic Superstar Award in 2005 after a glittering performance in the Konzerthaus Berlin.
Caroline received scholarships inter alia of the Gerda and Luigi Pradé Foundation, the Hans and Eugenia Jütting Foundation, the PE-Förderkreis, the Franz Grothe Foundation, the Lions Club Mannheim, the Akademie der Künste Foundation Berlin, the Kölner Gymnasial- and Stiftungsfonds, the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, the Ottilie Selbach Redslob Foundation, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Lutz - E. Adolf Foundation für Hochbegabte. Among the numerous concerts this artist has already given, both nationally and internationally, mention should be made of concerts with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra in the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Korean Chamber Ensemble in the Seoul Arts Center, the Philharmonic Orchestra Bad Reichenhall, the New Symphony Orchestra Berlin, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra in the Philharmonie Berlin, the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, the New Philharmonie Westphalia, benefit concerts in aid of children from Sarajevo and Kobe, German Heart Foundation, School for Life, concerts at festivals, inter alia at the International Steinway Piano Festival, the International Music Festival Berlin-Mirow, at the EXPO in Hanover, the ANUGA in Cologne, as well as several piano recitals in the Republic of Korea, Russia, Germany, Hungary, Belgium, Austria, China and Mongolia.
Music critics praise the 23 year old exceptional pianist: She plays with technically perfect clarity, impresses her audience through her special expressiveness and creative power. Piano miracle, young key lion, new star on the piano horizon are just a few descriptions, which the young artist can be proud of.
Caroline Fischer appeared on numerous occasions at “Bellevue” castle in Berlin, as well as participating in the cultural programme during the state visits of the former Federal President Roman Herzog to the Republic of Korea and Mongolia. She gave a very succesful recital tour in China in 2006. Caroline has actively participated in master classess given by Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Amadeus Webersinke, Paul Badura-Skoda, Bernard Ringeissen, Hans Leygraf, Ferenc Rados and Alexej Nasedkin. Her Debut CD was released in June 2006 (Label Genuin). A Christmas CD with the New Philharmonie Westphalia has been released in December 2007 on which she has recorded the first mouvement of the Schumann Piano Concerto.
